Minutes: VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE TUSCOLA COUNTY, MICHIGAN Synopsis of a Regular Meeting Held on November 5, 2018 at 6:30 PM CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the Village of Fairgrove Board was called to order by President Wassa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018, in the Fairgrove Village Hall, 5005 W. Center St. Fairgrove, Tuscola County, Michigan. Roll Call Present Cathy Phelps, Doug Stevens, Kristin Nelson and Tom Wassa Motion #1. Motion by D. Stevens, supported by K. Nelson to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried (4-0). Motion #2. Motion by K. Nelson, supported by D. Stevens, to approve the minutes of the October 1, 2018 meeting. Motion carried (4-0). PUBLIC AND BOARD COMMENTS The public discussed Christmas decorations, leaf pickup, and the Nov 12 brush pick up. POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT The police officer discussed the drug drop off box. FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT Chief Young updated the board on fire runs (4) for the month of October 2018 and put the fire run report on file. DPW REPORT DPW provided an update on the fall DPW tasks including leaves. The leaf truck is expected to undergo short term maintenance. TREASURER’S REPORT The treasurer provided a finance discussion and will meet with the president and clerk. CLERK REPORT The clerk received a letter requesting the board consider reappointing Douglas Young to the position of fire chief next meeting. OLD BUSINESS None. NEW BUSINESS Motion #3 Motion by C. Phelps. Seconded by K. Nelson to adopt the re-stated Articles of Incorporation and operating agreement for Akron-Fairgrove Sewage Disposal System Authority provided no objection from the village attorney. RC 4-0. Motion #4. Motion by C. Phelps. Seconded by D. Stevens to approve an Interfund Loan Agreement for the amount of $64,600 to pay for the Village portion of the Fairgrove Fire Truck. (RC 4-0) Motion #5. Motion by K. Nelson. Seconded by D. Stevens to pay the village expenses in the amount of $28,701.81 ADJOURNMENT Motion #6. Motion by C. Phelps. Seconded by D. Stevens to adjourn. (4-0).
