  FAIRGROVE VILLAGE COUNCIL MINUTES

February 2, 2015

 

PRESENT:  T. Wassa, B. Phelps, J. Gehrls, D. Maguire, C. Phelps,

EMPLOYEES:  D. Donelow, D. Englehart

 

Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Wassa.

 

B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to approve January agenda; all in favor, motion carried.

 

B. Phelps/Gehrls motioned to approve the minutes from the January 7, 2017 council meeting; all in favor, motion carried.

 

 

AUDIENCE RECOGNITION

 

Steve Young asked if Fairgrove could possibly form their own volunteer EDC type organization.

 

DEPARTMENT/COMMITTEE REPORTS

Fire – 3 assists and one barn fire for January.  Doug also asked if he could spend $350 for a new printer for fire office.  B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to approve spending $350 for a new printer for fire office; all in favor, motion carried.

DPW – will leave out a Christmas ornament for neighborhood watch to look at.  B. Phelps/C. Phelps motioned to make the President the supervisor of DPW; all in favor, motion carried. 

 

CORRESPONDENCE – None

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Rezoning from Village limit sign to Village limit sign on M-138 to R-4.  B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to go to Zoning Board of Appeals to make a section of M-138 R-4; all in favor, motion carried.

 

Hire new clerk Heidi Stark or Heather Hampshire if Stark declines.  B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to hire Stark or Hampshire if Stark declines; all in favor, motion carried.

Send 3 people to MML Conference February 24 & 25.  B. Phelps/Gehrls motioned to send 3 people to MML Conference; all in favor, motion carried.

Monchilov bill for $589.68 for building berm on Ball’s property we should pay.  Gehrls/Maguire motioned to pay bill for berm; all in favor, motion carried.

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

FINANCES

Gehrls/Maguire motioned to approve January disbursements totaling approximately $20,393.90; all in favor, motion carried.

 

As there was no other business, meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
