The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Maguire.
 
Motion Prusi second Adams to accept the March 3, 2008 regular meeting minutes as printed.    Carried.
 
The council interviewed four applicants for the village treasurer position. They were Bonnie Gray, Larry Haubenstricker, Wendy Streeter and Susan Johnson.
 
Audience members questioned whether the house at 5065 Maple Street met zoning requirements. Zoning Administrator Wally Prusi told them he would investigate the matter.
 
Motion Prusi second Wassa to approve the purchase from Front Line Services of a swivel for $3,120 and new boards for $640 with Kevin Dietzel and Bob Reinbold as contractors for these improvements to the fire department tanker.    Carried.
 
Motion Prusi second Wassa to purchase a Blue Cross Group Health Insurance Plan for full-time DPW employee Donnie Englehart at approximately $348 per month while eliminating the current in lieu of insurance payment effective April 1, 2008.

The clerk presented Fire Department Ordinance #56 along with Resolution 02-08 Fire Department Response Billing for council review.
 
MotionAdams second Farnum to approve zoning enforcement by Wally Prusi at $10 per hour for fiscal year 2008-09.    4 Yea    1 Abstain-Prusi    Carried.
 
Motion Adams second Prusi to defer revenue of $10,527.35 in fire response billings collected during 2007-08 for fire department major equipment purchases bringing a total of fire department deferred revenue to $22,327.35.    Carried.
 
MotionPrusi second Farnum to have the DPW pick up curbside leaves during April; have curbside brush pickup the first Monday of May; and have the dump open the fourth Saturday of the months May through October with residents obtaining a dump permit from the village clerk.    Carried.
 
Motion Prusi second Adams to increase the firefighter pay for fire runs and part-time janitor and DPW employee pay to $7.50 per hour effective April 1, 2008.    Carried.
 
MotionWassa second Farnum to amend the 2007-08 budget as follows:              
                                    General Fund                 $ 17,260
                                    Equipment Fund                 2,000
.                                               Total                 $ 19,260                         Carried.
 
Motion Adams second Prusi to pay bills of approximately $12,877.17.    Carried.
 
MotionWassa second Prusi to appoint Wendy Streeter village treasurer for a two year term from April 1, 2008 through March 31, 2010.    Carried.
