ORDINANCE NO. 7
SHOWS AND EXHIBITIONS
THE VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDAINS:
To license shows and exhibitions in the Village of Fairgrove, and to provide a penalty for violations of said Ordinances the Village of Fairgrove Ordains:
Sec. 1. That, any show or exhibition of any kind where admission is charged shall, before receiving any such admissions and before giving any performances or making any exhibit, shall procure a license from the Clerk of said village duly signed by the clerk, permitting such show or exhibition.
And any person having the management or charge of such show or exhibition shall pay to the said Clerk for such license, the proper amount charged for such license, prescribed in the following section.
Sec. 2. For every show or exhibition given under a tent with a seating capacity of three hundred person or more, five dollars ($5.00), and for every show or exhibition given under a tent with a seating capacity of less than three hundred persons, three dollars ($3.00) for each day, and for every show or exhibition given in any building, one dollars ($1.00) per day. Provided:
That the President of said village may in his discretion, remit the fees for such license when the show or exhibition is a local one, and where the proceeds are to be used for charitable purposes.
Sec. 3. Any person or persons who shall open any such show or exhibition without having first secured such license, shall, on conviction thereof, pay a fine of five dollars ($5.00), and in default of the payment of such fine, be imprisoned in the village prison or County jail then ten days.
