PARKING ON STREETS & PARKING VIOLATIONS
An ordinance AMENDING VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDINANCE NO. 4 and 19A.
THE VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDAINS:
Sec. 1. Ordinance No. 4 which prohibits the parking of cars, trucks or other obstructions on all streets within the Village of Fairgrove from 2:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. is hereby amended to read as follows, to wit:
Sec. 2. No person shall park any vehicle on any street or highway located within the Village of Fairgrove between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Sec. 3. Prima facie proof; the fact that a vehicle which is parked illegally in violation of this Ordinance is registered in the name of the person shall be prima facie proof that such person was in control of the vehicle at the time of such parking.
Sec. 4. Any person who violates this Ordinance is responsible for a civil infraction, and any person found to have committed a Civil Infraction may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $100.00 and costs in accordance with Section 9.3 of the Michigan Vehicle Code, and for which other civil sanctions may be ordered pursuant to Uniform Traffic Code.
Sec. 5. That Ordinance No. 19A, known as “An Ordinance Amending Village of Fairgrove Ordinance no. 19”, which Ordinance No. 19 is known as “An Ordinance Establishing a Parking Violations Bureau for the Village of Fairgrove and Prescribing Certain Fines”, is hereby amended to add the following offense:
OFFENSE PENALTY
Parking on a street or highway between the hours of
2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. $10.00
Sec. 6. The other penalties as set forth in Ordinance No. 19 and 19A are hereby amended so as to provide that all those penalties shall be in the amount of $10.00.
Sec. 7. This ordinance shall become effective after publication and expiration of the time prescribed by law.
