ORDINANCE NO. 23
DESIGNATE WEST STREET-ONE WAY
THE VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDAINS:
Sec. 1. West Street, between Center Street and Maple Street, shall hereafter be a one-way street on which vehicles may travel only in a Southwesterly to Northweasterly direction.
Sec. 2. The Chief of Police or any other person designated vy the Village President and Common Council shall post or cause to be posted suitable signs designated West Street to be a one-way street.
Sec. 3. Any person who violates this Ordinance is responsible for a civil infraction, and any person found to have committed a civil infraction may be ordered to apy a civil fine of not more than $100.00 and costs in accordance with Section 907 of The Michigan Vehicle Code.
Sec. 4. “Civil Infraction” means an act or omission prohibited by law which is not a crime as defined in Section 5 of Act No. 328 of the Public Acts of 1931, as amended, being Section 750.5 of Michigan Compiled Laws, and for which civil sanctions may be ordered.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be effective after publication and expiration of the time prescribed by law.
