The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Duane Maguire.
Motion Ahrens second Hall to accept the October 18, 2010 regular meeting minutes as printed. Carried.
Motion Hall second Humpert to nominate Jessica Gehrls to fill the vacant seat on the council with term expiring November 19, 2012. 3 Yea 3 Nay Tie Vote – Defeated.
Audience comments were received.
Police Chief Sherrod gave his department’s statistics for October.
Motion Ahrens second Adams to eliminate the part-time police officer position currently held by Timothy Burnside effective immediately. Carried.
Fire Chief Young reported that there were 4 runs for October. Young stated that his department held fire prevention activities for the elementary school children.
Correspondence was received from Tuscola County Economic Development Corp. informing of the intergovernmental committee meeting on Friday November 12th in Mayville.
Humpert speaking on behalf of the Michigan Bean Festival thanked the council for the use of Mulberry Park for their Halloween festivities.
Motion Hall second Adams to pay bills of $29,236.49. Carried.
