Present: Maguire, Eurich, Farnum, Hall, Hoag, Adams  
Absent: Prusi
Guests: Police Chief James Sherrod, Adam Sayles, Bob Ahrens, Tommy Siler, Cody Engler, Carol Tedford, Fern Young, Steve Young, Bob Parsell, Donnie Englehart
 
 
 
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Maguire.
 
Motion Eurich second Hoag to accept the May 4, 2009 regular meeting minutes as printed.    Carried.
 
Police Chief Sherrod stated that he has been reviewing ordinance violations within the village.
 
Motion Hoag second Farnum to approve the use of volunteer reserve police officers in the police department to be used when regular police officers are on duty.   Carried.
 
MotionHoag second Adams to appoint Bob Ahrens to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Motion Withdrawn with Consent.
 
Motion Adams second Hoag to appoint Carl Childs to the Zoning Board of Appeals.    Carried.
 
MotionHoag second Adams to have the Michigan Bean Festival remove the old demolition derby pit and have that area put back to former condition by July 1, 2009 or have the Michigan Bean Festival Labor Day Festival not approved by the village council.    Carried.
 
Motion Hall second Adams to purchase the budgeted computer for the fire department from Dell Corp. for $1092.23.    Carried.
 
The clerk informed the council that Governor Granholm had signed an executive order cutting revenue sharing payments to the village of approximately $3000 for 2009.
 
Motion Adams second Farnum to pay bills of approximately $13,110.13.    Carried.
 
Meeting adjourned at 8:48 p.m.
