VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE

Present: Maguire, Eurich, Farnum, Wassa, Adams
Absent: Prusi

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Maguire.
 
Motion Adams second Farnum to accept the September 8, 2008 regular meeting minutes as printed.    Carried.
 
Correspondence was received from Tuscola County Planning Commission informing of their intent to amend the Tuscola County General Development Plan and Thomas Wassa informing the council that he is not seeking reelection of his trustee seat and tendering his resignation as village Police Chief effective November 1, 2008.
 
MotionAdams second Farnmum to accept the resignation of Police Chief Thomas Wassa effective November 1, 2008.    4 Yea    1 Abstain-Wassa    Carried.
 
The clerk informed the council that a Michigan Municipal League Workers Comp Loss Control consultant met with the president, a trustee, clerk, DPW employee and fire department representative. The village has improved its loss control over the past three years. There were two recommendations issued that the clerk will respond to in writing.
 
Motion Wassa second Eurich to pay bills of approximately $8,102.11.    Carried.
