Synopsis of a Regular Meeting
Held on October 1, 2018
at 6:30 PM
CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Village of Fairgrove Board was called to order by President Wassa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, in the Fairgrove Village Hall, 5005 W. Center St. Fairgrove, Tuscola County, Michigan.
Roll Call
Present Troy McIntosh, Doug Stevens, Kristin Nelson and Tom Wassa
Motion #1. Motion by T. McIntosh, supported by D. Stevens, to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried (4-0).
Motion #2. Motion by K. Nelson, supported by T. McIntosh, to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2018 meeting. Motion carried (4-0).
PUBLIC AND BOARD COMMENTS
The public discussed dogs within the village.
POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT
The police officer will post a non-emergency number for non-criminal complaints.
FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
Chief Young updated the board on fire runs (0) for the month of September 2018 and put the fire run report on file.
The fire department will support “Trick or Treat” on October 31. Village hours 6:00 PM- 7:30 PM. “Trunk or Treat” will also occur at the DPW building.
Motion #3. Motion by T. McIntosh, supported by D. Stevens to approve adding Scott McGuire and Chance Childs to the Fire Department. Motion carried (4-0)
The new Fire Truck will be available for Homecoming on Friday evening.
DPW REPORT
Brush and leaf pick will be scheduled for later in the month once the leaves begin falling. Information will be made available when dates are set.
CLERK REPORT
The clerk provided information on the audit.
Motion #4. Motion by D. Stevens, supported by K. Nelson to require the treasurer to present the treasurer’s report at the next Council Meeting. Motion carried (4-0).
OLD BUSINESS
None.
NEW BUSINESS
Motion #5. Motion by K. Nelson, seconded by T. McIntosh to approve Resolution for Designation of Street Administrator (Doug Stevens). The motion was approved (RC 4-0)
Motion #6. Motion by D. Stevens. Seconded by T. McIntosh to pay the village expenses in the amount of $21,702.50 (RC 4-0)

Motion #7. Motion by T. McIntosh. Seconded by D. Stevens to adjourn. (4-0).
