Synopsis of a Regular Meeting

Held on June 4, 2018

at 6:30 p.m

CALL TO ORDER

 

A meeting of the Village of Fairgrove Board was called to order by President Wassa at 6:27 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, in the Fairgrove Village Hall, 5005 W. Center St. Fairgrove, Tuscola County, Michigan.

 

Roll Call

            Present Cathy Phelps, Troy McIntosh, Doug Stevens, Kristin Nelson, and Tom Wassa.

 

Motion #1. Motion by T. McIntosh, supported by C. Phelps, to approve the agenda as amended.  Motion carried (5-0).

 

Motion #2. Motion by T. McIntosh, supported by D. Stevens, to approve the minutes of the May 7, 2018 meeting. Motion carried (5-0).  

 

PUBLIC AND BOARD COMMENTS

 

Public comments started at 6:35 p.m. There were six public comments and/or discussion issues.

 

PARK REPORT

 

The park project is in process or has completed application of new mulch, sand and plants.  The pavilion is under evaluation.

 

LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORT

 

The Officer is addressing various ordinance and legal violations within the village limits. Reports will be provided to the Council on a monthly basis. 

 

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

 

Chief Young indicated there were 10 runs in the month of May. Most runs were related to the May 4, 2018 wind storm.

 

Motion #3. Motion by T. McIntosh, supported by D. Stevens to accept Michael Dew to the Fairgrove Fire Department.  Motion carried (5-0).

 

DPW REPORT

 

Spring Village projects have been completed.

 

CLERK REPORT

 

 Village Audit Scheduled.

 

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

 

Petition packets for those interested in running for office are available from the clerk.

 

Motion #4. Motion by D. Stevens, seconded by C. Phelps  to approve finances in the amount of  $10,581.69  (RC 5-0).

Motion #5. Motion by T. McIntosh, supported by D. Stevens to adjourn.  (5-0). 

 

Meeting adjourned at 7:22 PM.
