Synopsis of a Regular Meeting
Held on October 2, 2017
at 6:30 p.m
CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Village of Fairgrove Council was called to order by President Wassa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, in the Fairgrove Village Hall, 5005 W. Center St. Fairgrove, Tuscola County, Michigan.
Roll Call
Present Brad Phelps, Troy McIntosh, Tina Wassa, and Tom Wassa (P)
Motion #1. Motion by T. Wassa, supported by T. McIntosh, to approve the agenda. Motion carried (4-0).
Motion #2. Motion by B Phelps, supported by T. Wassa, to approve the minutes of the September 11, 2017 meeting. Motion carried (4-0).
PUBLIC AND BOARD COMMENTS
Public comments started at 6:39 p.m. There were four public questions and comments.
FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
Chief Young updated the board on fire runs (2) for the month of September 2017 and put the fire run report on file.
DPW REPORT
DPW tested the leaf collection equipment and will continue to pick up leaves throughout the fall. He will let the clerk and board know when a schedule has been established
CLERK REPORT
MEETING SUSPENDED at 7:06 for Public Hearing

OLD BUSINESS
Motion #3. Motion by B Phelps, supported by T. McIntosh to approve Ordinance #66 trimming and removal of trees on private property. Motion carried. (RC 4-0).
NEW BUSINESS
Motion #4. Motion by B. Phelps, supported by T. McIntosh the approve the estimate by Dependable Sewer for $1755 to clean 4 lift stations and the refuse disposal fee of $85 per yard if necessary (4-0).
Motion #5. Motion approve the “Local Government Body Resolution for Charitable Gaming Licenses” recognizing the Fairgrove Fire department made by T. Wassa. Supported by B. Phelps. (RC 4-0).
Discussion of potential sale of street sweeper.
Discussion of the Fairgrove Lighted Christmas Parade. Now set for Dec 1. Chair Todd Humpert.
Motion #8. Motion by T. McIntosh, Seconded by T. Wassa to approve expenses in the amount of $5783.45 (4-0).

Motion #9. Motion by B. Phelps. Seconded by T. McIntosh to adjourn. (4-0).
