Minutes: VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE TUSCOLA COUNTY, MICHIGAN Synopsis of a Regular Meeting Held on June 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the Village of Fairgrove Board was called to order by President Wassa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2017, in the Fairgrove Village Hall, 5005 W. Center St. Fairgrove, Tuscola County, Michigan. Roll Call Present Cathy Phelps, Brad Phelps, Troy McIntosh, Tina Wassa, and Tom Wassa (P) Motion #1. Motion by T. Wassa, supported by T. McIntosh, to approve the agenda. Motion carried (5-0). Motion #2. Motion by C. Phelps, supported by B Phelps, to approve the minutes of the May 1, 2017 meeting. Motion carried (5-0). PUBLIC AND BOARD COMMENTS Public comments started at 6:37 p.m. There were six public questions and comments. FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT FM Baur updated the board on fire runs (4) for the month of May, 2017 and put the fire run report on file. DPW REPORT Motion #3. Motion by B. Phelps, supported by T. McIntosh, to take the bucket truck to Sebewaing for Cylinder repair (estimated $500) and possible certification (no more than $200). CLERK REPORT OLD BUSINESS SCBA Report. Grant approved $25,000 NEW BUSINESS Motion #4. Motion by B. Phelps, supported by T. McIntosh to pass resolution officially changing name of Otis St. to Liberty St. (RC 5-0) Motion #5. Motion by T. Wassa, support by C. Phelps, to authorize the clerk to begin the bidding process for Snow bids with a due date of August 17. (5-0). Reading by the board of Ordinance #9 for consideration to repeal. Approval to support and promote the Spirit of Fairgrove Lighted Christmas Parade Motion #6. Motion by B. Phelps, Seconded by C. Phelps to approve finances in the amount of $38243.63 (RC 5-0). ADJOURNMENT Motion #7. Motion by T. Wassa. Seconded by C. Phelps to adjourn. (5-0). Meeting adjourned at 7:39 PM. Submitted as approved by President Wassa Heidi Stark Clerk.
