The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Maguire.
 
Motion Prusi second Wassa to accept the November 5, 2007 regular meeting minutes as printed.    Carried.
 
Asst. Fire Chief Baur reported that the department had voted two new members onto the squad.
 
Motion Prusi second Eurich to approve Jeffery Parsell and Joshua Cook as probationary firefighters pending acceptable MVR and physicals.    Carried.  
 
The council agreed to have the DPW install two 15 minute parking signs in front of the post office.
 
Correspondence was received from State of Michigan Housing Development Authority informing of downtown revitalization workshops scheduled for January 2008 and Michigan Township Participating Plan explaining its liability insurance history.
 
The clerk informed the council that at the November 9th Circuit Court hearing the village was granted the right to demolish the building at 2017 Main Street and assess those costs onto the tax rolls.
 
The clerk was instructed to advertise for a new treasurer in the local newspaper with an application deadline of February 1, 2008.
 
Motion Prusi second Eurich to pay bills of approximately $14,706.37.    Carried.
