Absent: Farnum, Adams

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Maguire.
 
Motion Wassa second Prusi to accept the June 2, 2008 regular meeting minutes and the June 6, 2008 special meeting minutes as printed.    Carried.
 
Representatives from the Michigan Bean Festival were present to discuss an additional 14 acres they are leasing for future projects. They were told the Planning Commission may have to be involved for zoning purposes. Rob Butts stated that the flea market was a success and would like to have a similar event next year.
 
MotionEurich second Wassa to accept the estimate of $1500 from Kappen Tree Service for removing 4 trees and trimming 7 trees with the stipulation that the removal of 3 downtown trees by the parking lot be reconsidered by Kappen’s.    0 Yea    3 Nay.    Defeated.
 
Motion Wassa second Prusi to go ahead with paving Shreeves Road by Saginaw Asphalt Paving Co, which was approved at the April 7, 2008 council meeting, but suspending Traffic Control Order 08-001.    Carried.
 
The clerk asked the council if a Fairgrove Township resident was allowed the use the dump to dispose of storm damage debris. The council stated that the resident could use the dump while open on the 4th Saturday of the month.
 
Motion Prusi second Eurich to pay bills of approximately $5,219.23.    Carried.
 
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
