AUDIENCE RECOGNITION - None

CLERK’S ITEMS – M. Couture explained the error in the total of the Fire Department Budget Analysis sheet.  There was an incorrect formula carried over in the Excel spreadsheet which made the total much lower than actual.  The corrected total for the FY 2014-2015 Fire Department Budget is $64,864, which is actually an increase over their FY 2013-2014 budget.

CORRESPONDENCE – None

OLD BUSINESS – None

NEW BUSINESS

Garner PA-116 – M. Couture explained a request from Martha Garner regarding farmland she owns within the village limits.  She would like to renew her Farmland Preservation Act Agreement with the State of Michigan, and she is notifying the village and requesting consent.

Humpert/Gehrls motioned to approve Martha Garner’s request to renew her Farmland Preservation Act Agreement (PA-116) with the State of Michigan; all in favor, motion carried.

Upcoming Election – discussion held regarding the trustee seats coming up for election.  Cathy Phelps needs to run to renew her seat, if desired, since she was appointed to fulfill a vacancy.  Village President will be open because Tom Wassa cannot run since he is also a candidate for State Representative.

SAW Grant – no updates.

Sidewalks – D. Englehart to check them in the spring to see what needs to be repaired.

Magic Square – Check in the spring for needed repairs to comply with risk management.

As there was no other business, meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Melissa Couture

Fairgrove Village Clerk
