FAIRGROVE VILLAGE COUNCIL MINUTES

September 8, 2014

PRESENT:  T. Wassa, B. Phelps, T. Humpert, D. Maguire, C. Phelps,

ABSENT:  J. VanHove, J. Gehrls

EMPLOYEES:  D. Donelow, D. Englehart and D. Young

Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Wassa.

Humpert/B. Phelps motioned to add new items of a dance class, MML Loss Control Report and speed limit to agenda for the council meeting; all in favor, motion carried.

B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to approve the minutes from the August 4, 2014 council meeting; all in favor, motion carried.

Humpert/Gehrls motioned to approve September agenda; all in favor, motion carried.

AUDIENCE RECOGNITION

Steve McAlpine was willing to donate black dirt and some equipment to help repair the tore up grounds.

DEPARTMENT/COMMITTEE REPORTS

Fire – D. Young discussed 1 fire run in August. 

DPW – D. Englehart presented 2 quotes for new meter. 

Humpert/Maguire motioned to accept quotes for new meter; all in favor, motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE – None

NEW BUSINESS

Chemical bank accounts – Add Clerk, Dawn Donelow and Tom Wassa, on to all accounts as signer.  Remove Duane Maguire as signer on accounts.

Humpert/C. Phelps motioned to approve changes to bank account signers; all in favor, motion carried.

B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to add Dawn Donelow on to safety deposit box; all in favor, motion carried.

Humpert/B. Phelps motioned to increase hours to 20 hours a week as needed for 2 months for Dawn Donelow; all in favor, motion carried.

Humpert/B. Phelps motioned to agree on a Work Comp clinic to send firefighters with minor injuries; all in favor, motion carried.

FINANCES

B. Phelps/Maguire motioned to approve August disbursements totaling approximately $13,772.95; all in favor, motion carried.

As there was no other business, meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
