ORDINANCE NO. 19C
PARKING VIOLATIONS
An ordinance AMENDING VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDINANCE NO. 19 and AMENDMENT THERETO, by REPEALING SECTION 5 by the ADOPTION OF NEW SECTION 5, so as to PROVIDE FOR CIVIL FINES FOR CIVIL INFRACTION PARKING VIOLATIONS.
THE VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDAINS:
Sec. 1. That section 5 of Ordinance No. 19 and amendments thereto is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. That new Section 5 of Ordinance No. 19 and amendments thereto is hereby adopted as follows:
[SECTION 5.] The issuance of a traffic ticket or civil infraction citation violation by a police officer of the village shall be deemed an allegation of a parking violation. Such traffic ticket or notice of violation shall indicate the length of time in which the person to whom the same was issued must respond before the parking violations bureau. It shall also indicate the address of the bureau, the hours during which the bureau is open, the amount of the penalty scheduled for the offense for which the ticket was issued, and advise that a civil infraction action will be filed in the District Court if such person fails to respond within the specified time.
Sec. 3. This amendatory act shall not be construed to affect any prosecution pending or initiated before the effective date of this amendatory act, or initiated after the effective date of this amendatory act for an offense committed before that effective date.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall become effective after publication and expiration of the time prescribed by law.
