ORDINANCE NO. 11
SPEED LIMITS
THE VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDAINS:
Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a motor vehicle upon any street in the Village of Fairgrove at any but a careful and prudent speed not greater than or less than is reasonable and proper, having due regard to traffic, surface and width of the street and of any other condition then existing, and no person shall drive any motor vehicle on such street at a speed greater than will permit him to bring it to a stop within the assured clear distance. Said speed shall not exceed twenty-five (25) miles an hour, unless otherwise designated.
Sec. 2. A violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100) or by imprisonment in the county hail or village prison not exceeding ninety days (90) or by both, such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect on the 12th day of June 1957.
